Code Blue Co., Ltd. is a small company in Japan run by nurse educators. We run resuscitation and emergency response courses for nurses every week, and Code Blue Monitor is the simulation tool we made for those courses. Everything in it came from something we needed in a classroom.
NCLS (Nursing Cardiac Life Support) is our one-day emergency response course built specifically for nurses: recognising deterioration, monitor interpretation, BVM ventilation, reporting, drug preparation and team resuscitation, all learned through simulation. We also run AHA ACLS courses and train instructors, and the app fits ALS / ILS and other resuscitation courses equally so hospitals and schools can deliver the course themselves.
Over 1,000 nurses trained across Japan (public figure, April 2026)
Code Blue Monitor turns an iPad into a patient monitor and defibrillator, with an iPhone as the instructor's remote. We also build SIM-Chart, a simulated electronic health record for scenario briefings. Both are used in every course we run and refined from what instructors and learners tell us.
One-time purchase, no subscription, works with any manikin
Nurse practitioner and a former certified emergency nurse. Daigo spent years in emergency and critical care before turning to education, and still teaches in most of the courses the company runs.
He designed Code Blue Monitor around one principle: show what a real monitor shows, and nothing it doesn't. No rhythm name on the screen, no values until a sensor is attached, no pacing threshold given away. Learners have to look, notice and think, the same way they do at the bedside.
Nurse educators, simulation coordinators and ACLS / ALS / ILS instructors can request a free full-version code to try before recommending it.
Code Blue Monitor Pro is available through Apple School Manager and Apple Business Manager. We can help with quotes and invoicing.
We are open to working with simulation equipment distributors and training providers outside Japan.
Most of what is in the app was asked for by an instructor. Tell us what your training needs.
