注意

  • 合計は 0〜60 点（12 か所の 0〜5 の段階の和）。判定の帯は、ATS のガイドライン（2014）の ICU-AW の参照基準（検査した全部の筋の平均 4 未満＝12 か所では合計 48 未満）と、総説が書く同じ数字（48 未満）だけで、ほかの区切りは資料に書かれていない（Fan ら 2014、Hermans & Van den Berghe 2015）
  • 評価できるのは、覚醒していて十分に協力できる患者だけ。ICU の入室中にこの条件を満たさない患者の割合は、報告により約 10% から 75% まで幅がある（Hermans & Van den Berghe 2015）
  • 再現性は、ICU の患者で良いとした報告と、確かめられなかった報告がある。寝たきりの患者へのやり方の調整や、協力の基準を厳密に決めることが、信頼できる結果を得るのに重要かもしれない（同総説）
  • 天井効果があり、段階 4（正常に近い筋力）と 5（正常）の区別は評価者の判断になりうる（同総説）
  • ATS の基準は検査した筋の平均で書くが、この画面は 12 か所すべてに答えたときだけ合計を出す（平均への換算はしない）。評価できない筋（切断・拘縮など）があるときの合計の出し方は、総説に書かれていない
